Harder to head Nossaman infra practice

Nossaman said Patrick Harder is taking over as chairman of its infrastructure business. Veteran attorney Geoffrey Yarema, who founded the practice, is stepping down.

Law firm Nossaman named Patrick Harder chairman of its infrastructure practice group, according to a press statement.

His appointment came as founding chairman Geoffrey Yarema has opted to step aside in what Yarema called a “natural transition”.  Harder and Yarema had been co-chairing the practice.

“This is a natural transition for our group,” said Yarema.

Harder began his involvement in infrastructure in 1987 and is a legal expert in tolling as well as the availability payment structure. For Nossaman, he oversaw the Port of Miami project in Florida.

He became infrastructure co-chair in 2010 and spearheaded a recent hiring effort at Nossaman that led to the Los Angeles-headquartered firm adding staff in Washington, D.C., and Austin, Texas.

Yarema will remain involved with Nossaman, the firm said. Nossaman acted as legal adviser to San Francisco on its $1.1 billion Presidio Parkway public-private partnership (PPP), which closed this year.
