New York State Teachers’ Retirement System approved two commitments to private equity-focused infrastructure vehicles in Q4 2019, according to the pension’s January 2020 Board meeting materials.

The commitments were both to vehicles managed by EIV Capital: $75million to EIV Capital Fund IV and $17.25 million to Fund IV Top-Up Fund – a co-investment vehicle investing alongside the parent fund. NYSTRS does not have a specific infrastructure portfolio, so typically invests in energy-focused vehicles through its private equity portfolio.

NYSTRS has made one other commitment to a 2019-vintage infrastructure vehicle: $100 million to Tailwater Energy Fund IV.
