EY has appointed Patrick Bossert as the new head of its UK Infrastructure Asset Intelligence practice.
Bossert will lead on working with UK governments – both central and regional – on boosting the quality of the performance of infrastructure assets. His work will be focused mainly on the transport and social infrastructure sectors and Bossert will also advise on the UK’s new industrial strategy unveiled in January.
“Harnessing better asset intelligence helps control risks, reduce costs for asset owners and can give greater autonomy to staff on the ground,” he said. “It also supports new models of infrastructure finance, which can drive much-needed transport capacity enhancements.”
EY’s head of infrastructure Amanda Clark added that Bossert’s hire will be crucial in a sector that is facing “huge financial pressures and increasing capacity challenges”.
Bossert joined EY from Network Rail where he led the operator’s digital transformation through its £300 million ($374.2 million; €351 million) Offering Rail Better Information Services programme, a project that was delivered alongside the consulting firm.
