MainePERS confirms $25m commitment

The US public pension has backed IPI Partners' second series fund focused on investments in data centres.

Maine Public Employees Retirement System has agreed to commit $25 million to IPI Data Center Partners Fund II, a contact at the pension informed Infrastructure Investor. MainePERS previously committed $30 million to the fund’s predecessor in 2017.

The $14.90 billion US public pension has a 10.0 percent target allocation to infrastructure that currently stands at 11.90 percent.

MainePERS has made two other commitments to infrastructure funds with a 2019 vintage: $75 million to Taurus Mining Finance Fund II and $100 million to GIP Spectrum Fund.
