Advent International has promoted seventeen members of its team globally including the appointment of two managing partners – Dave McKenna in the US and Chris Mruck in Central and Eastern Europe – according to a statement.
McKenna is the fifth Advent employee to begin his private equity career at Advent and rise to managing partner. He played a leading role in Advent’s Boart Longyear transaction, which ended with the mining group being sold to Australian bank Macquarie and it subsequently floated on the Australian stock exchange last year.
Mruck worked on various Advent deals in the CEE including Romanian alcohol company Brewery Holdings, telecoms company the Bulgarian Telecommunications Company and interior and exterior floor company KAI.
Advent recruited two principals to the CEE team last month.
Guillaume Darbon in France and Rory Pope in Japan were appointed managing directors. Five others were promoted to director, seven to assistant director and one to associate.
In Europe Andy Dawson, Tom Allen and Sebastian Tcaciuc have been appointed as directors, Nick Rose and Bram Grimmelt has become an assistant director.
In Latin America Joaquín Mandachain and Mario Malta have become senior associates, Frederico Brito e Abreu, Wilson Lourenço da Rosa have become principals while Jorge Maluf has become an associate.
In Japan Rory Pope has become a managing director and James Brooks has become an assistant director.
Two weeks ago CVC Capital Partners also promoted staff globally.
