Basalt Infrastructure Partners raises $1.29bn

The London-headquartered firm has closed its second infrastructure fund above target.

Basalt Infrastructure Partners held a final close for its Basalt Infrastructure Partners II at $1.285 billion, surpassing its original $1 billion target. The firm began fundraising in October 2016. European investor SWEN Capital Partners is one of the investors of the fund.

Credit Suisse acted as placement agent for the fund.

The firm will use the capital to make investments in utilities, energy and transport assets across North America and Europe.
