Brookfield Asset Management raises $20bn

The Toronto-based manager closed it's fourth flagship infrastructure fund.

Brookfield Asset Management held a final close of Brookfield Infrastructure Fund IV at $20 billion, making it the largest fund the firm has ever raised across its whole private markets portfolio. With 170 institutional investors committed to the vehicle, commitment amounts averaged around $90 million per investor with the remainder coming from Brookfield’s listed vehicles. It will invest in core infrastructure assets including hydroelectric plants, data centres, utility companies and rail operators.
