French institutional investor Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations has reached financial close on acquisition of a 49.9 percent stake in French onshore wind farm portfolio company Aalto Power, the company said.
Infravia Capital Partners confirmed that it sold 100 percent of its shares in the business to Caisse des Dépôts for an undisclosed amount.
Caisse des Dépôts is now invested alongside Aiolos, which has been active fulfilling wishes of historic investors and is controlled by Prometheus Group, the company said in a statement.
Together, Aalto's assets comprise nine onshore wind parks with a total capacity of 99 MW. These include two parks in Aquitaine-Limousin-Poitou-Charentes (29 MW), three parks in Nord-Pas-de-Calais Picardie (34 MW), and four in Alsace-Lorraine-Champagne-Ardenne (36 MW).
The parks, which were all commissioned between 2007 and 2012, have PPAs in place with EDF.
Caisse des Dépôts has indicated that it plans to double the size of the Aalto portfolio through greenfield investments, and majority shareholder Aiolos has reportedly agreed.
