CCLA approves £20 million commitment

The London-based pension manager has backed a clean growth fund.

Institution: CCLA Investment Management
Headquarters: London, United Kingdom
AUM: £10 billion

CCLA Investment Management has approved a £20 million commitment to Clean Growth Fund, a vehicle managed by UK government-backed Clean Growth Investment Management (CGIM).

The newly-launched infrastructure vehicle is co-sponsored by the UK Department of Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and CCLA, with each institution having invested £20 million into the fund.

The vehicle will invest in early-stage clean growth companies, which in turn will seek to accelerate the development and commercialisation of clean growth technologies in the UK. This endeavour will support the UK government’s commitment to reducing all greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050.
