Chart of the Week: Appetite of LPs from different regions

According to data from Infrastructure Investor Research & Analytics, the top strategies that fit global LPs future investment appetite are energy, diversified, transportation, renewable, water and social infrastructure. 

If take a closer look and break LPs down as shown in the chart above, we can see some differences in investment  appetite between LPs of different regions. North American LPs concentrate more on energy as 81% of them cited appetite for this sector, which is more than twice of their appetite for “diversified”, the second preferred strategy. Renewables is more popular in Europe in which 55% of the European LPs will consider to invest, while LPs in Asia-pacific have relatively diversified and balanced opinions for these six strategies compared to other regions.
