Chase among five Campbell Lutyens promotions

Brian Chase, instrumental in a number of high-profile infrastructure fundraisings, becomes a partner at the firm. Four others have also stepped up.

Campbell Lutyens, which provides advice and placement services across a range of asset classes, has promoted five members of its team.

Brian Chase, who joined the New York office in 2010, becomes a partner. He has been involved in a number of the firm’s recent high-profile infrastructure fundraising mandates including those for Old Ironsides and I Squared Capital.

Chase was hired to develop the firm’s real assets business in North America as well as strengthen investor relationships globally. He had previously been an investment professional at the Carlyle Group and spent 12 years as a lawyer specialising in infrastructure and project finance.

Richard von Gusovius also becomes a partner, having joined in 2006 in the secondary advisory team and then assumed responsibility for coverage of investor relationships in German-speaking Europe.

Infrastructure experience is also to be found among three promotions to principal. Chiara Magana, who joined in 2010 to focus on placement advisory and execution, has led a number of infrastructure and private equity fundraisings; while David Perrin has worked in the secondary advisory team covering infrastructure and private equity, also since 2010.

Rishi Chhabria, who joined in 2011 to focus on relationships with US investors in the Midwest and Southeast, also becomes a principal.

In a statement, Campbell Lutyens said it has raised over $12 billion of primary commitments from investors globally over the last year. It has also advised on over $8 billion of secondary assignments.

Formed in 1988, the firm has 85 professionals across London, New York and Hong Kong.
