Clague switches from SocGen to Hawkpoint

Dan Clague, a leading figure in European infrastructure-related advisory, has moved from Société Générale to Hawkpoint Partners, where he becomes a managing director. He is a specialist in transport and business services.

Dan Clague, who spent the last ten years at Société Générale, has joined Hawkpoint Partners, the corporate advisory arm of UK fund management group Collins Stewart, as a managing director.

At Société Générale, Clague was head of both the UK mergers and acquisitions and transport teams. Prior to this, he had held advisory roles at ABN Amro and Barings.

Clague has worked on a number of prominent European infrastructure transactions, including: advising RREEF on the privatisation of the Port of Lübeck; ECT Terminals on its $326 million sale to Hutchison and Rotterdam Port; and Düsseldorf Airport on a €600 million financing to pay for the airport’s redevelopment.

Hawkpoint has offices in London, Paris and Frankfurt and covers areas including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, debt, restructuring and strategic advice.
