Chicago Teachers’ Pension Fund (CTPF) has approved a $25 million commitment to Macquarie Infrastructure Partners VI, a contact at the pension fund confirmed to Infrastructure Investor.
Macquarie Infrastructure Partners VI is an infrastructure core-plus fund that targets diversified sectors in North America. The vehicle’s predecessor closed in July 2021 on $6.9 billion.
Macquarie Asset Management is an independent asset management institution and investment bank that manages specialist funds, owning assets in infrastructure, real estate, private equity and development capital. It is based in Sydney, Australia, and was founded in 1969.
CTPF has a 2 percent allocation to infrastructure, which comprises $228 million in capital.
