EIF commits to Alantra’s latest fund

The European investment organisation has backed Alantra's latest infrastructure fund.

European Investment Fund (EIF) has committed €30 million to Klima Energy Transition Fund, according to a recent press release from the firm.

Klima Energy Transition Fund, managed by Alantra, will invest into the clean tech, energy/oil & gas and renewable core across Western Europe. The fund has achieved a final €210 million close for its latest vehicle, above the initial target size of €150 million and with oversubscription.

Founded in 1994, the EIF is a Luxembourg-headquartered firm that targets investments in small and mid-sized enterprises across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

EIF has a 6.17 percent allocation to infrastructure, which comprises €283.8 million in capital.
