Project finance lawyer Robin Mizrahi, who specialises in emerging markets and the power sector, has joined the global projects team in the London office of international law firm Baker Botts.
Mizrahi was previously at rival law firm Chadbourne & Parke and advised on transactions such as the 250-megawatt (MW) Bujagali hydroelectric power project in Uganda, one of the largest project financings in Sub-Saharan Africa; and the 370MW Amman East power project in Jordan, the country’s first independent power project (IPP).
As well as project finance and privatisations, Mizrahi has also represented clients in antitrust and trade regulation as well as mergers and acquisitions.
“Robin brings a wealth of legal talent to the firm and our London office, which will strengthen our project finance capabilities for clients interested in emerging markets around the globe,” said Baker Botts managing partner Andrew Baker.
Baker Botts, whose history goes back 174 years, has a total of 700 lawyers in 15 offices around the world.
