Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund approves $25m commitment

The US public pension has backed a North American infrastructure fund.

The Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) has agreed to commit $25 million to JLC Infrastructure Fund I, the firm confirmed via a press release following its December board meeting.

The $42.40 billion US public pension currently has a 0.08% allocation to infrastructure.

Previous commitments made by the IMRF to infrastructure funds include $100 million to another 2017 vintage fund managed by Oaktree Capital Management and a $100 million commitment to a 2015 vintage fund managed by Partners Group.
