Industriens Pension approves DKK1bn commitment

The Danish pension has backed an energy fund.

Industriens Pension has confirmed a DKK1 billion (£121 million; $158 million) commitment to Actis Energy 5, a contact at the pension informed Infrastructure Investor. Actis Energy 5 will be investing in energy assets across Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.

Industriens Pension has previously made three commitments to energy funds managed by Actis. The manager maintains a focus on investing in renewable energy in emerging markets.

The DKK189 billion Danish pension has a 10.30 percent allocation to infrastructure.

As illustrated below, Industriens Pension has also historically committed to infrastructure funds managed by DIF Capital Partners.
