The US public pension has backed EQT's latest global infrastructure offering.

New York State Common Retirement Fund has approved a $300 million commitment to EQT Infrastructure Fund V, according to the pension’s January 2021 investment transaction report.

EQT’s fifth flagship global infrastructure vehicle is the largest infrastructure fund in market, targeting €12.5 billion. The fund’s immediate predecessor held a final close in March 2019 at €9 billion.

New York State Common’s infrastructure investments are housed in its $4 billion real assets portfolio, which comprises agriculture and commodities alongside infrastructure.
