Full-service law firm Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman has expanded its global finance group at its New York headquarters with the addition of Nicolai Sarad and Fernando Rodriguez-Marin as partners, Pillsbury said in a statement.
Both Sarad and Rodriguez-Marin have extensive experience in project finance and public-private partnerships (PPPs; P3s), having been partners at DLA Piper and members of the firm’s project finance group for more than a decade.
In addition to DLA Piper, Sarad has more than 20 years’ experience in energy and infrastructure development, finance and PPPs as well as lender-side financing, according to the statement. Rodriguez-Marin brings more than 25 years’ experience in infrastructure PPPs, project finance and Spanish real estate and finance to the firm.
“We are pleased to welcome Nick and Fernando to the New York office and to our global finance group,” said Mats Carlston, head of Pillsbury’s finance practice. “They both deepen our service offerings in global energy and infrastructure, key strategic sectors for our group and the firm.”
As part of Pillsbury’s Global Finance group, Sarad and Rodriguez-Marin will advise clients on US and international PPPs, infrastructure and energy transactions – including project structuring, development and financing, and project restructurings.
In addition to its New York headquarters, Pillsbury has offices throughout the US, as well as offices in Abu Dhabi, Beijing, London, Shanghai and Tokyo.
