Princess invests in three primary funds

Princess Private Equity has backed three primary funds and has made its first direct investments through a €50m commitment to Partners Group Direct Investments 2006 fund.

Princess Private Equity, a Partners Group vehicle, has invested in three primary private equity funds. The firm committed $25 million (€19.3 million) to Thomas H. Lee Parallel Fund VI, a fund that targets investments in large, growth-orientated buyouts of US companies.

It invested the same amount in Providence Equity Partners VI-A, a fund that primarily makes control buyout investments in media companies.

The fund committed $5 million (€3.9 million) to SV Life Sciences Fund IV, a fund that will invest in venture capital opportunities in Europe and the US.

Princess has also committed €50 million to Partners Group Direct Investments 2006 fund and $50 million (€38.5 million) to Partners Group Emerging Markets 2007 fund.

Partners Group floated Princess on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in December. The fund committed €30 million to Terra Firma and 3i funds in December.
