SURS approves commitment of $100m

The US-based public pension has committed $100m to IFM Investors – a first-time relationship for SURS.

State Universities Retirement System of Illinois has added to the system’s real assets investment by committing $100 million to the IFM Global Infrastructure Fund following a board meeting.

The IFM Global Infrastructure Fund is a new investment relationship for SURS.

The $23.6 billion pension currently allocates 0.4 percent to its infrastructure portfolio, below its target of 1 percent. Its recent commitments have predominately focused on funds with strategies of unlisted equity focus.
