Texas Employees approves $50m commitment

The US public pension has backed an energy-focused fund.

In June 2018, the Employees Retirement System of Texas committed $50 million to Actis Long Life Infrastructure Fund. The vehicle has a target size of $2 billion and targets operating power, transmission, generation and distribution assets in Africa, Latin America, Southeast Asia and India.

The $28.5 billion US public pension has a 6 percent target allocation to infrastructure that currently stands at 2 percent.
