AIIB commits $150m IFC’s Asian emerging markets fund

The Asian multilateral bank continues to support the development of emerging markets.

The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has earmarked $150 million equity for the International Financial Corporation’s (IFC) Emerging Asia Fund.

The $1 billion Emerging Asia Fund is being deployed by the World Bank’s development institution to address the huge infrastructure needs across Asia and to create jobs in emerging markets, such as Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.
