Andrews Kurth expands infra team in Dubai

Patricia Tiller, an energy and infrastructure lawyer previously with Baker Botts, has joined the firm as partner.

Energy and infrastructure lawyer Patricia Tiller has joined Andrews Kurth as partner in the firm’s Dubai office.

Tiller, who joins the firm from Baker Botts, has worked on projects in the Middle East and Africa, including the Emirates LNG project, the $17 million Basrah Gas project and the $3 billion Dubai metro project.

“Patricia will be a valuable asset for our global clients, particularly in the energy sector, where she has a depth of experience in a variety of projects involving acquisitions and joint ventures,” Andrews Kurth’s managing partner Bob Jewell said in a statement.

Tillers experience includes negotiating and drafting commercial project documentation and associated financing arrangements, according to the firm, as well as advising on deals for leading international firms not only in the Middle East but throughout Asia and Australia.

Headquartered in Houston, Andrews Kurth has a total of 10 offices worldwide. According to its website, its global energy practice comprises more than 200 lawyers. In 2015, the firm provided legal counsel on energy-related deals exceeding $70 billion in value.
