Ardian raises $800m

The Paris-based investment manager’s “infrastructure sidecar” attracted more than its fundraising target in less than six months.

Ardian has raised $800 million for its Ardian Americas Infrastructure Fund IV, exceeding the original $500 fundraising target.

The fund was originally planned as the sidecar to Ardian Infrastructure Fund IV, which closed at €2.65 billion in January 2016, but subsequently received positive responses from investors and raised more than its intended target.

The fund will be invested in relatively small projects in the energy and transport sectors across the US, Canada, Chile and Mexico.
