AustralianSuper approves $250m commitment

AustralianSuper expands its investment footprint in the Indian infrastructure market.

AustralianSuper has approved a $250 million commitment to the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund’s (NIIF) Master Fund. In addition to the commitment, the Australian investor is also entitled to a co-investment right up to $750 million.

This commitment marks the first presence of AustralianSuper to Indian infrastructure investments. Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan also became a new investor to the Master Fund, committing the same amount of capital as AustralianSuper.

Illustrated in the table below, AustralianSuper’s previous infrastructure commitments are to funds managed by Macquarie.
