Aviva brings hires since July to six

The asset manager has recruited two more professionals to its infrastructure team, which is now 15-strong.

Aviva Investors, the asset management arm of UK insurer Aviva, has appointed Veronique Leroy and Jolanta Touzard to its infrastructure team.

Both the new hires were formerly with fund managers: Leroy was head of infrastructure investment services at Octopus Investments and Touzard was an assistant fund manager at Equitix.

The infrastructure team now manages more than £1.9 billion (€2.4 billion; $3.1 billion) in capital as it sees “growing interest from clients in the asset class”.

The team had previously made four new hires in July, with the latest two bringing the total number of professionals in the team to 15. In a statement, Aviva acknowledged that further recruitment was likely.

“Infrastructure is a key area for the business, and I am delighted with these further additions to the team,” said Aviva Investors head of infrastructure Ian Berry.

Aviva Investors manages a number of funds and mandates across a range of infrastructure strategies encompassing direct investments into infrastructure projects as well as infrastructure debt across the UK and continental Europe.
