The 25-kilometre Peninsula Link Highway PPP aims to improve the traffic connection to the Mornington Peninsula, southeast of Melbourne. It will require the future concessionaire to invest a total of €550 million in the project.
The concession contract will be valid for 25 years during which the winner will receive availability payments from the government.
Availability payments are agreed-upon instalments which allow the authorities to regulate payments to the consortium if it does not fulfil certain contractual parameters.
