Kendrew previously served as a managing director and chief executive of Australian infrastructure fund Prime Infrastructure, which he oversaw during Brookfield’s sponsorship of its recapitalisation and restructuring in November 2009, Brookfield said in a statement.

He has now been replaced with Brian Kingston, previously a director at Prime Infrastructure, who has been appointed as the new managing director and chief executive of the Australian vehicle. Prior to joining Prime Infrastructure, Kingston held several senior positions with Brookfield and its affiliates.

Brookfield manages some $15 billion of infrastructure assets as of December 31, 2009. These include transportation assets, such as ports and rail lines; utilities, including electrical and natural gas transmission; as well as timberlands.
