Campbell Lutyens boosts team

Campbell Lutyens, a private equity advisory firm, has appointed Paula Langton in its London office, while Greg Weiner joins in New York.

Campbell Lutyens, a UK private equity advisory specialist, has made two appointments to its London and New York placement teams.

Paula Langton has joined from the private fund group of Credit Suisse in London, where she was a project manager for global private equity fundraisings for buyout, growth equity, secondary and mezzanine funds.

Before the private fund group, Langton worked in Credit Suisse’s global industrial services group, where she was involved in consumer and retail M&A transactions.

Greg Weiner has joined Campbell Lutyens’ New York office from Merrill Lynch’s alternative investment fund placement group. At Merrill Lynch, he worked on origination, due diligence, structuring and placement of private equity, hedge fund, real estate, venture capital and mezzanine funds.

Recent placement duties for Campbell Lutyens include Norvestor Equity, a Nordic private equity firm, which raised €167 million ($212 million) for its fourth fund; Malaysia’s Navis Capital Partners, which closed on $315 million for its Asian mid-market focused Navis Asia Partners IV fund; and Clearwater Capital Parters, which raised $300 million for its Asia distressed debt and special situations fund last year.

Earlier this week, rival placement agent Monument Group hired Laurence Zage as director of its London office, which opened last November. Before Monument, Zage was vice president and head of research at Helix Associates, a placement agent bought by US investment bank Jefferies just over a year ago.
