Global buyout firm The Carlyle Group has bought IT and consulting company KCS.net for an undisclosed sum.
KCS.net sells Microsoft-based resource planning programmes and related consulting services to the manufacturing, retail and automotive sectors in Germany and Switzerland.
The company has more than 180 customers and it generated more than €17 million ($25 million) in revenues in 2007.
Last month Carlyle bought a 35 percent stake in French telecoms companies Numericable and Completel for an undisclosed sum joining European buyout firms Cinven and Altice which held prior stakes in the company. It also bought a Spanish IT company alongside domestic firm Mercapital for €160 million in the same month.
The firm raised €5.35 billion for its third European buyout fund in September.
