Infrastructure and PPP specialist Michael Pearson has been promoted to partner at Clifford Chance after nearly eight years with the law firm.
With more than 10 years of experience advising on major projects in the UK and internationally, Pearson is one of 24 new partners who will climb the ranks on 1 May, bringing the total number of Clifford Chance partners to 577 globally.
Pearson has personally advised sponsors on the UK Military Flying Training PPP project, a shortlisted bidder for the Thames Tideway Tunnel, the sponsors for the Herefordshire and Worcestershire energy from waste project, and the lenders in the Thameslink rolling stock project.Â
Outside of Clifford Chance, Pearson has also been seconded to the Abu Dhabi government to advise on strategic infrastructure projects in the Emirate, a spokesperson for Clifford Chance said. Â
According to LinkedIn, he worked as secondment in legal & risk management affairs for Executive Affairs Authority from April 2010 to April 2011, as an associate for CMS Cameron McKenna from February 2004 to July 2008, and as secondment on the infrastructure team of Henderson Equity Partners for Henderson Global Investors from October 2007 until April 2008. Â
As of March 2016, he is a future leaders network committee member with the International Project Finance Association.Â
