Evans is new director at Australian Infrastructure Fund

Jim Evans has joined the board of directors for both the Australian Infrastructure Fund and its managing entity, Hastings Funds Management.

The Australian Infrastructure Fund (AIF) announced yesterday that Jim Evans has joined its board of directors as the common director of both AIF and Hastings Funds Management, the entity managing AIF.

Evans brings over 40 years of corporate experience and was chief risk officer at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) from 2003 to 2008. He also held a number of senior roles at CBA, Lend Lease, GEC and Grace Bros, AIF said in a statement.

He is currently an independent director of several Hastings-managed entities, including Westpac Funds Management, Westpac Funds Management Administration, WOT CMBS and WOT Loan Note as well as being a director for the Equigroup group of companies and Suncorp Portfolio Services.

AIF is an Australian listed infrastructure fund with a market capitalisation of over A$1 billion (€666 million; $900 million). The fund owns assets in the transportation sector including toll roads, light rail, ports and airports, including a stake in Hochtief Airport.
