Exclusive: India, Africa next for Actis’ renewables platforms

The emerging markets investor is planning two other platforms to join its existing ones in Chile, Brazil and Mexico.

Emerging markets private equity investor Actis is planning to launch two new renewable energy platforms in India and Africa to join its existing ones in Chile, Brazil and Mexico, Clean Energy Investor has learnt.

Both platforms will follow the same model of building standalone renewable generation businesses that is behind Chile’s Aela Energía, Brazil’s Atlantic Energias Renováveis and Mexico’s Zuma Energía, launched this September.
