The UK's Hermes Investment Management has beefed up its infrastructure team with the addition of Canada Pension Plan Investment Board veteran Robert Wall.
Wall joins as infrastructure partner, reporting to head of infrastructure Peter Hofbauer. He will be responsible for originating new deals, sit on the infrastructure investment committee, help govern portfolio companies and grow Hermes' £3.9 billion ($5.2 billion; €4.7 billion) of infrastructure assets under management.
At CPPIB, where he spent nine years in Toronto and London, Wall was one of the first members of the Canadian pension's infrastructure investment team. In addition to executing on several large-scale infrastructure investments, he was also a board director of several major European and Australian infrastructure companies.
Hermes manages £26 billion of assets on behalf of more than 330 clients across equities, fixed income, alternatives and real estate.
