IMRF confirms $100m commitment

The US public pension has backed Partners Group's global infrastructure vehicle.

Illinois Municipal Retirement System has approved a $100 million commitment to Partners Group Direct Infrastructure 2020, according to meeting minutes from the pension’s May 2021 board meeting, a contact at the pension informed Infrastructure Investor.

Partners Group launched Direct Infrastructure 2020 in December 2019, with the vehicle targeting $5 billion in equity capital. As of 31 March 2021, 50 percent of that target has been met.

IMRF has a 0.14 percent allocation to infrastructure. Alternative investments constitute 13.33 percent of the institution’s full investment portfolio.
