OTPP appoints new infrastructure head

The Canadian’s biggest teacher pension plan taps new infrastructure leader.

Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP) named Dale Burgess senior managing director of infrastructure and natural resources (INR), effective immediately.

Burgess, who joined OTPP in 1996 and has served as the interim head of INR since February 2018, will oversee the OTPP’s global infrastructure acquisition and asset management.

OTPP has invested C$25.4 billion in infrastructure and natural resources. It managed C$189.5 billion of net assets on 30 December 2017.
