San Francsico-based placement agent and alternative investment advisory firm Probitas Partners has hired Adam Frieman as principal in its New York office.
Frieman, who will focus on relationship management and liquidity management for Probitas’ limited partner client base, was previously deputy head of US equity capital markets at UBS. He also founded and ran the equity risk management group at UBS.
Probitas has been growing its team, hiring six investment professionals across its three offices in San Francisco, New York and London, as well as a chief administrative and finance officer, in 2006. The firm was founded in 2001 by Greg Hausler and Michael Hoffman.
The firm recently served as placement agent for Foster City, California-based private equity firm Scale Venture’s second fund, which closed at $400 million (€305 million), and Boston-based private equity firm Riverside Partners’ third fund, which closed on $225 million.
