Reliance Infrastructure bags INR30bn road project

Reliance Infrastructure, the Indian infrastructure firm, has signed an agreement with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for developing a road project worth INR30bn. The project involves the six-laning of the 180km highway that connects Delhi to Agra in the north of India.

Indian firm Reliance Infrastructure has signed an agreement with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for developing the INR30 billion (€497 million; $642 million) Delhi-Agra highway project, according to media reports.

The company has signed a concession agreement for the six-laning of the 180-km stretch of the Delhi-Agra road project, estimated at a total cost of INR30 billion.

Reliance Infrastructure, which is developing a total of 11 road projects with the NHAI entailing a total investment of INR120 billion, plans to further increase its road portfolio to over INR250 billion by 2012.
