Rossman rejoins Lazard as energy MD

The former Macquarie and HSBC veteran has joined Lazard as a managing director in the power, energy and infrastructure group of the financial advisory firm. Rossman, who will be based in New York, worked for Lazard from 2003 to 2005.

Lazard Asset Management, the advisory firm, has announced that it has hired Jim Rossman as a managing director for its power, energy and infrastructure business. He will be based in New York.

Rossman brings 20 years of capital markets and advisory experience to Lazard, where he will be involved with the company’s alternative energy efforts, Lazard said in a statement.

Previously, Rossman was a senior managing director and US head of equity capital markets at Macquarie Group, where he advised on a number of transactions in the alternative energy space.

Prior to his time at the Australian investment bank, he was head of equity capital markets Americas and Latin America corporate banking at HSBC. He had also already worked at Lazard, as head of equity capital markets, from 2003 to 2005.
