Swiss fund manager SUSI Partners has already deployed €100 million from its second renewable energy fund, which it aims to close on up to €400 million by the end of the second quarter.
The fund now owns a portfolio of 13 wind and solar farms in Germany, France, the UK, Portugal and Italy, generating about 170MW, and is eyeing a 270MW pipeline of investment opportunities.
SUSI has already raised some €215 million for the vehicle and is now looking for big ticket investors for a €300 million to €400 million final close. The European Investment Bank is a significant investor in the fund, having committed €66 million to it in March following a February interim close of €146.5 million.
In addition to its latest renewables fund, SUSI is also investing its €250 million debut energy efficiency fund, which closed last summer, and is fundraising for one of the world’s first energy storage infrastructure funds, reportedly targeting some €200 million.
