WYPF confirms €60m commitment

The pension fund has backed MEIF seventh infrastructure fund.

West Yorkshire Pension Fund (WYPF) has committed €60 million to Macquarie European Infra Fund 7 (MEIF 7), according to its website.

Fund 7, managed by Macquarie Asset Management, will invest into telecoms, transport, utilities and renewable opportunities across Europe. The fund has raised more than €7 billion to date; it’s predecessor closed in June 2019 on €6 billion.

The pension fund has allocated 5.52 percent to infrastructure, which comprises £984.6 million ($1,112 million; €1,130 million) in capital.
