Green energy-specialist advisory firm Clean Energy Capital Advisors, based in San Francisco, and New York-headquartered independent brokerage firm National Securities Corporation have launched a collaboration to assist firms engaged in the renewable energy project finance field.
The new strategic venture will provide investment banking and financial advisory services to companies working in renewable power and clean technology infrastructure, the companies said in a statement.
The new venture
Clean Energy Capital’s founder David M. Moore commented on the partnership: “Our business is providing financial services to companies active in renewable energy and clean technology infrastructure. National`s broad and excellent resources allow us to offer expanded services, such as securities issuance and M&A advisory, to our growing client base. Our affiliation lets us leverage National`s infrastructure and capabilities to accelerate our vision.”
The president of National Holdings, parent company of National Securities, Leonard Sokolow, said that the affiliation would allow the brokerage firm to move into what it considers the growth area of project finance in clean technology financing.
Following the partnership Clean Energy Capital’s principals will become registered representatives of National Securities. Clean Energy’s clients will in turn receive investment banking and securities placement services through National Securities.
