Climate Fund Managers raises $850m

The Netherlands-based blended finance fund manager closes debut fund well above target.

Climate Fund Managers has held a final close for Climate Investor One at $850 million – combining the close of Stichting Development Fund and Coöperatief Construction Equity Fund U.A. Climate Investor One will provide capital to climate mitigation and adaptation sectors in emerging markets, across Africa, South and Southeast Asia, and Latin America.

The fund had initially targeted $530 million, but a sizeable investment from the Green Climate Fund – via FMO – increased the value significantly.
