Deloitte’s Middle East financial advisory practice has announced the promotion of Andrew Jeffery to managing director and head of the infrastructure & capital projects (I&CP) team.
Jeffery had previously been a director at Deloitte for around two and a half years, prior to which he had spent around 13 years at EC Harris, the built asset consultancy.
A chartered surveyor with a total of 25 years in construction and financial advisory services, Jeffery has been involved in the “creation, planning and operation” of “several multi-billion dollar schemes across the GCC [Gulf Cooperation Council] since his arrival in 2007” according to a Deloitte statement. He has worked on behalf of government agencies and family offices.
The latest move is part of a stated expansion of Deloitte’s infrastrcuture and capital projects capabilities in the Middle East and follows two other recent hirings: Umer Ahmad as head of project and infrastructure finance and airport sector specialist Dorian Reece.
Coinciding with Jeffery’s appointment, Deloitte also announced the appointment of Aziz Ul-Haq as a managing director specialising in debt advisory and M&A. Ul-Haq was previously with Deloitte in the UK.
