UK mid-market firm Gresham has recruited James Slipper as a partner from big four accountant Deloitte.
Slipper was previously a director in the transaction services team. He has worked with Gresham on due diligence in a number of deals including last month’s acquisition of the West Cornwall Pasty Company for £30 million and the buyout of Town Centre Restaurants in January for £48 million.
Paul Marson-Smith, managing partner at Gresham, said Slipper’s analytical skills and ability to rapidly understand “the heart of what matters” would be invaluable during buyouts and in bid planning.
In March, Gresham hired Iain Wolstenholme to be its investment director and Peter Lahoud to be its research and origination manager.
