LGT Capital Partners, a Swiss-based alternative investment manager, has held a final close on its latest mid-market European buyout fund of funds, Crown European Private Equity, at €609 million ($788 million).
The Fund has already made commitments totaling more than €300 million to over ten European buyout funds. Most recently, in November it invested in Ironbridge Fund II, a A$1.05 billion (€636 million; $808 million) fund managed by Ironbridge Capital, a private equity firm focused on Australia and New Zealand.
A statement said the fund’s investors are national and local government pension funds, corporate pension funds, insurance companies and foundations from northern Europe, the UK, Switzerland, France, North America and the Asia-Pacific region.
