MainePERS approves $100m commitment

The US public pension has backed a core infrastructure fund.

Maine Public Employees Retirement System approved a $100 million commitment to Stonepeak Core Fund, a contact at the pension informed Infrastructure Investor.

The fund will invest in renewables, energy, transport and utilities opportunities in North America.

The $18.8 billion US public pension has a 10 percent target allocation to infrastructure which currently stands at 11.1 percent.
