McNamara is Lend Lease’s new Americas CEO

Robert McNamara is joining Lend Lease from US construction firm Penhall/LVI, where he is chairman and chief executive. He will take office next month as chief executive and will focus on green building and PPPs.

Australian listed property group Lend Lease has appointed Robert McNamara as chief executive for its American operations.

McNamara joins the group from Californian construction firm Penhall/LVI, where he is chairman and chief executive. At Lend Lease, he is expected to target growth opportunities within development, green building and public-private partnerships (PPPs), the company said in a statement. He will take office on April 19 and will report to Steve McCann, the group’s chief executive.

McNamara has over 30 years of experience in the development, design and delivery of commercial and infrastructure projects. Prior to his tenure at Penhall/LVI, he was the senior group president of Fluor Corporation, where he was responsible for the company’s global mining business, manufacturing, PPP infrastructure and chemicals, among other duties.
