MFPRSI introduces infrastructure to investment portfolio

Municipal Fire & Police Retirement System of Iowa has introduced infrastructure as an asset class to its investment portfolio, according to the pension’s recently released August meeting minutes.

MFPRSI will be allocating five percent of its $2.53 billion portfolio to infrastructure moving forwards, while the pension has also confirmed its first two infrastructure fund commitments. IFM Investors’ Global Infrastructure Fund and JP Morgan Asset Management’s Infrastructure Investments Fund are the open-ended vehicles sharing the pension’s five percent allocation.
